Meral Sartekin, one of the founders of Kelim Jewelry, grew up in a rural village in Turkey. She later left her country to study abroad in Zurich, Switzerland where she married Halil and had her first daughter. In 1992 the couple founded Kelim, a boutique specializing in handmade goods from their native home, Turkey. Meral and Halil began designing jewelry inspired by the breathtaking patterns in the traditional Turkish carpets and the natural beauty of their adopted country, Switzerland. Together they have built their collection and are solely focusing on Kelim Jewelry. Their pieces have a unique look to them that captivates you. The pieces have a soft glow about them since they have a brushed finish.

How to Clean Brushed Silver:

Wash tarnished item with a mild soap then place the piece on aluminum foil in the bottom of a pot. Add a baking soda solution of 1/4 cup baking soda and a few teaspoons of salt into 1 quart boiling water. Cover for a few minutes. Then rinse and let dry throughly.
